Carolina Medina-Dupaix is a professional artist and student living in Portland, Oregon. A native of Costa Rica, she utilizes an array of natural symbolism and urban archetypes from Las Vegas and Portland to create layered and emotive art. Imagery reflected in her work often includes the female form, anthropomorphic figures, landscapes with solitary trees, saturated color, cephalopods, water, abstracted layers of color, bees, bridges, tropical plants, religious icons, and controlled squiggles. She is currently a fulltime student working towards a Masters in Art therapy counseling and is thankful to be producing work this summer and reconnecting with her artist self.
